One case of academic dishonesty with two students who collaborated to correct errors on assignments was reported. The syllabus clearly indicated that all submitted work must be completed independently. Although the students initially did the work independently, they admitted that they checked, discussed, and provided input on each other solutions and then made corrections before submitting the work. Due to the number of assignments that were done in this manner, which were all turned in at the end of the class, both students receive an F in the course.
One case of a student plagiarizing online resources was reported. In this case the student improperly referenced the material and did not give citation. After discussion, the student rewrote the paper using proper citations and references and received the grade earned on the work, with essentially a warning to ensure this does not recur.
