Trip to Omiš
On Wednesday we took a trip to Omiš on a small boat in the middle of a weak Bura wind. There were significant chop and whitecaps, but nothing worse.
On the front railing are Sharon, Ben, Albert, and Željka. Željka's children accompanied us for the day. In front of Željka is son Martin and between Stipo (black shirt) and Josipa (striped) is Lara.
Here is a view of Postira as we departed for Omiš.
In Omiš we climbed to the old fort above the town. Upper left we see Albert, Sharon, Zeljka, and Eric, with Lara in the foreground. Upper right are Petra and Karmen, with a view of Omiš and the river Cetina in the background. Bottom we see Nick with Martin and Sara Fuchs.
From Omiš we took a boat trip up the Cetina river to an old mill. Left, Sanda chats with our boatman. Right shows meat grilling as well as one of the huge loaves of bread baked at the old mill. Bottom, lunch time (courtesy of Nick Hall).
On our return to Postira, thunderstorms developed as we crossed the sound. Fortunately, we avoided the worst of the bad weather!
