Split, the second largest city in Croatia, is located on a peninsula in the Adriatic. The western tip of Split is a forested mountain park full of trails. Postira is a tiny fishing village on the north shore of the island of Brač and was the location of the second and third SWAP workshops. It faces the medieval town of Omiš across the sound. Water for Brač is piped under the sound from the river Cetina, which enters the sea through a dramatic gap in the mountains at Omiš.
