REVIEW OF PREVIOUS FORECAST

Juliette is relaxing her grip on the EPIC area as she moves a bit more quickly
to the west-northwest out of the area. At 7 am cdt, Juliette was
still a dangerous category 4 hurricane with maximum winds estimated at 135 mph
located at 16.3N, 106.7W and moving 285 at 8 kts. Her influence on weather in
the EPIC area will continue to diminish thru the day.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Conditions in the warm pool east of 95W remain quite moist and a few small line
of Cb activity can be found (Image 1). Further upstream, we are watching the next
easterly wave come ashore today along the coast of Nicaragua. NHC suggests
this wave is moving northwest, but it may split with one vorticity center
moving west into the EPIC area and another moving northwest into the Gulf
of Mexico over the next few days. Will have to keep a watch on this.
