010925 Radar and Sounding Operation Status The radar operated continuously without problems. A quiet day for convection. A few echos to our east (50-150 km), otherwise mostly clear around the ship. The 12Z sonde did not return winds above the surface. One trend in the sonde data was for the erosion of westerly flow in the lower-mid troposphere throughout the day. Also, the mean mixed layer mixing ratio's tended to be slightly lower (16-17 gm/kg) compared to many previous soundings.
