010922 Radar and Sounding Operation Status The radar operated continuously without problems. Despite relatively large CAPE values in the sounding data (> 200 j/kg), convective activity was dominated by scattered cells with relatively low echo tops for the majority of the day. All 6 soundings returned wind and thermodynamic data. Two characteristics of the soundings were the persistent dry layer between 500-400 mb and mostly southwesterly winds through the lower troposphere.
