REVIEW OF PREVIOUS FORECAST
Cirrus shield blew up over the developing storm last night making id of center
difficult. Cirrus blew off to west of center suggesting faster motion than
actually occurred. First vis image showed real circulation east of coldest tops.
GENERAL OVERVIEW
NHC named TS juliette at 10 am cdt today (saved). Surface winds up to 45 kts
in a small center moving rapidly to the west-westnorthwest at 17 kts (Image 1).
Latest vis loop shows compact center will likely just sideswipe us as it moves
rapidly to the west tonight. P3 was called by NHC to do invest flight and the
confirmed closed circulation and TS status. Otherwise there would have been no
flights today...
DISCUSSION
Decided at 6:30 am meeting not to evacuate planes. Later in the day, looks
like a closer call than originally thought, but still ok.
SUMMARY
Fri - P3 invest flight into TS Juliette; C130 no flight
Sat - P3 called back to Atlantic; C130 95W flight
Sun - tbd
Rethinking evacuating aircraft as Juliette strengthens 4:30 pm cdt
