REVIEW OF PREVIOUS FORECAST

NHC named TS Ivo this am. System is still strongly sheared from east
at upper levels. It's forecast to strengthen to near hurricane level in
72 hours as it moves to the east.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

In the wake of TS Ivo, we're seeing a beautiful day in HUX. I'm impressed
that the ITCZ is reappearing so rapidly in the wake of Ivo (Image 1), although
north of ITCZ convection is totally supressed.

Strato-cu deck south of the ITCZ is also quite supressed (Image 2). Microwave
low-level WV image shows quite dry air (Image 3), so detrainment across
the boundary layer may be large today.

DISCUSSION

Got forwarded message from C. Fairall that R. Brown did go through TS Ivo
and encountered some heavy weather. Hopefully got good e-mail for him and
also c. Paulson on New Horizon. Will be sedning them daily weather also.
