REVIEW OF PREVIOUS FORECAST

Convective activity remains supressed over the ocean areas of the EPAC.
Cloudy and steamy here in HUX...as usual.

A/C are on a 95W mission....looks like a good day for that.

GENERAL OVERVIEW

Just a couple of minor features today. It's difficult to find traces of
the easterly wave that was crossing central america the past two days. Only
weak lobes of vorticity noted in the Wisc 850 analysis and NHC streamlines
show just a weak wave entering the EPAC. GOES vis (Image 1)shows a short line
of Cb's along 94w near 10N. Another area of Cb activity is on the far
eastern pac, maybe a hint of what's left of the easterly wave.

DISCUSSION

Nice quickscat pass today of the area (Image 2). It shows southerly flow
all the way up to 12N along the flight track today. Will be interesting to
see how this verifies versus aircraft data.

Starting to get some TMI SST again but looks very noisy and lots of swath
seams evident (Image 3), but at least data should be available for reprocessing.

SUMMARY

saturday - no flights
sunday - flight - mission not determined
luego - waiting for expendable resupply before making plans
