REVIEW OF PREVIOUS FORECAST
Boring....In a word the convective activity in the EPAC east of 100W is quite
supressed. The diurnal convection over land seems to be more active though - maybe it
takes over when other activity is weak. Yesterdays IR loop showed a fast
propagating feature going from south-to-north firing the convection along 97W.
Wonder what caused that. Other wise HUX had thunder and lots of rain overnight.
We should have a pool on how high a dewpoint we can get here...heard it was
Td =87f today....
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Flights on for 95W transect tomorrow. Ron Brown sailed from San Diego yesterday.
Interesting binary storm pair further west Hur Gil dancing with TS Henriette...
we'll see who gobbles up who. Need to see where a/c see low level shear band
tomorrow. Upstream there is another wave just crossing central america, but
doesn't look too impressive...
