REVIEW OF PREVIOUS FORECAST
GENERAL OVERVIEW
Possible ITCZ flight tomorrow. Today, we are in a relative lull between two
easterly waves. The first moved through yesterday morning with some thunder
and a brief shower at Huatulco. This one is noted in the NHC discussion as they
are watching it for possible intensification. The next is upstream just
approaching 90W (Image 1). Both show up well in the Wisconsin 850 mb
vorticity analysis (Image 2). NHC makes no mention of the clusster
nearing 90W, but visible GOES suggests some cloud lines inflowing. We will
be tracking this one very closely. It should be just east of 95W for a flight
tomorrow.
DISCUSSION
Looks good for an ITCZ flight tomorrow. Need to watch intensity of convection
carefully as it could be a bit intense for low level flight penetration....
