The project will be managed by a Scientific Working Group (SWG) under
the overall EPIC program, which in turn is a part of the U. S. CLIVAR
program. The U. S. EPIC 2001 SWG members are:
-
David Raymond (Chair; New Mexico Tech)
-
Meghan Cronin (NOAA/PMEL)
-
Christopher Fairall (NOAA/ETL)
-
Michael Gregg (University of Washington)
-
Chris Bretherton (CLIVAR Pacific Panel)
-
Steve Esbensen (CLIVAR PACS Panel; EPIC SSC; VAMOS Panel)
-
Robert Weller (CLIVAR Pacific Panel; EPIC SSC; VAMOS Panel)
-
Gus Emmanuel (UCAR-JOSS; ex officio, non-voting)
This project will be coordinated with the Pan American VAMOS EPIC
program where appropriate. The UCAR Joint Office of Scientific
Support (JOSS) will work with the SWG to handle the logistics of
aircraft and aerosonde deployment during the field phase of the
program. JOSS will also work with the SWG to coordinate non-US
contributions to the program. NOAA deals directly with the logistics
of NOAA ship deployment.
