Project for ph340
For the project I expect a paper of order 10 pages and a 10 minute
talk to be given near the end of the semester. A first draft of the
paper is expected near the middle of the semester. These drafts will
be circulated to other people in the class for peer review. The exact
deadlines are:

7 February 1997 -- Topic chosen and reported to instructor.

17 March 1997 -- First draft is due (three copies).

26 March 1997 -- Reviews are due.

23 April 1997 -- Final draft is due (one copy).

25 April - 2 May 1997 -- Presentations.
As mentioned earlier, the talk should have both substantial historical
and technical content. A list of possible topics is given below. First
come, first serve on these. If another topic interests you, let me
know. We can discuss whether it is appropriate.
